This is an excellent opportunity to join the Council working with staff and elected members as we look to deliver climate change actions across all services to become carbon neutral by 2050. As Climate Change and Environmental Projects Officer, you will coordinate the implementation of the council’s Climate Change Strategy and supporting action plan in consultation with elected members and the management team, providing leadership and advice across the organisation on climate change initiatives and other environmental related projects.
The successful candidate must have a degree in an appropriate discipline and must have excellent communication and project management skills. Previous experience of working towards strict deadlines and the ability to get people on board with new ways of working and thinking are essential in this role.
