Wyre is a coastal district with stunning coastline along Morecambe Bay and breathtaking countryside extending into the Forest of Bowland AONB. The Council is a forward thinking authority which has successfully delivered on a number of regeneration schemes and currently working in partnership to deliver the Hillhouse Enterprise Zone. 

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced professional to join Wyre Council's Economic Development Team.  This is a hardworking, friendly and high performing team and the role offers the chance to be involved in delivering Hillhouse Enterprise Zone and other projects and initiatives. 

You should have a good working knowledge of economic development policy and principles and external funding opportunities and be a dynamic and flexible person with strong people skills to provide a major contribution to business growth across the Borough. Previous experience in economic development or regeneration is essential.

This role requires a motivated team player, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with an accurate attention to detail.
